Billing and refund policy

This policy explains how paying for Brand Autopilot works and when we give money back. It is part of our terms of service. Current prices are on our pricing page.

Free trial and Free plan

Every new company starts with a 7-day free trial. No payment is needed. When the trial ends, the company moves to the Free plan by itself, with its limits, unless an owner buys a plan.

How payments work

Only a company owner can buy a plan.
Plans are bought for one period at a time: a month, or 14 days with a Campaign Pass.
Payments are made through Paystack's secure checkout, by M-Pesa or card. Prices are listed in US dollars and charged in Kenyan shillings at the exchange rate shown at checkout.
Paying again for the same plan adds a period after the current one. Paying for a different plan starts it at once.
A plan starts once Paystack confirms the payment. If a payment is never completed, nothing is charged and nothing changes.

Card auto-renew

M-Pesa payments never renew.
Saving a card and renewing automatically are two separate choices at checkout, both off unless the owner ticks them.
A card renews only if the owner ticks “Renew automatically”, or later turns auto-renew on for a saved card in Billing. A saved card without auto-renew is never charged.
Shortly before paid time ends, we charge the saved card for the same plan and period, at the current price, and never more than 10% above the amount the owner agreed to (to allow for exchange-rate changes).
Auto-renew stops by itself after three declined attempts in a row, a plan change, a bigger price rise, or a refund that ends the paid time.
An owner can turn auto-renew off, or remove the card, at any time in Billing. The current paid time continues to its end.

When paid time ends

The company moves to the Free plan. Nothing is deleted because a payment ended, but Free plan limits apply, so some actions may wait until you buy a plan again.

Refunds

We refund, in full or in part:

a payment taken twice for the same purchase;
a renewal charged after the owner turned auto-renew off or removed the card;
a charge the company did not authorise;
the unused part of a period, if the service was unavailable for a large part of it because of a fault on our side; we may instead add the lost time, if you prefer.

We do not normally refund:

time already used, or a change of mind after the plan has been used;
periods affected by a social network's own decisions, such as an API change, a rejected post or a restricted account;
accounts suspended for breaking our acceptable use policy.

Nothing in this policy takes away rights you have under Kenyan consumer law.

How to ask for a refund

Email sales@utawaziea.com or use our contact page with the topic “Billing or refund”, within 14 days of the charge. Include the company name, the date and amount, and the Paystack reference if you have it. We reply within one working day.

Approved refunds are sent through Paystack to the M-Pesa number or card that paid. How long the money takes to arrive depends on your bank or mobile money provider. A refund may end the paid time it bought; we will tell you if it does.

Managed services

Managed social media is billed under its own quote or agreement, which sets its own payment and cancellation terms.
